The turbidity sensor is the optical sensor mainly used for the washing machine. It makes use of refraction of LED and

phototriode to particular wavelength to detect the opacity of dirty water and concentration of all the other species.

Then it will calculate the turbidity of the water by using LED and phototriode and the optical sensor will measure the

amount of light from the light source to the receiver.
